The Northern Indiana Grazing Conference was held on February 2 and 3, 2024 at the Michiana Event Center in Shipshewana, Indiana. Attendance for the NIGC this year was the second-highest recorded for the event, with 1,025 attending on Friday and 1,350 attending on Saturday. The commercial exhibition included approximately 70 vendors from all over the Midwest. Speakers this year presented a wide range of grazing-related topics, and included Greg Judy, Chris Bontrager, Elam Martin, Harley Troyer, Richard Bontrager, Greg Palen, Gerald Yoder, Tyler Funk, Kenneth Imhoff, Leland Mast, Jerry D. Miller, Alvin Bontrager, David O. Miller, Galen Ramer, Paul Yoder, Lamar Weaver, Dr. Melissa Thomas, Jerry Lehman, Nelson Yoder, Kevin Miller, David Miller, Myron Yoder, and Bill Berry.

Thank you to everyone who supported our program by attending! Management Intensive Rotational Grazing, the Certified Organic Movement, and Grass-Only Dairying has revolutionized family farm economics and dynamics in the American Midwest in the last 20 years. The success of these trends have made tremendous strides in advancing sustainable agricultural practices, livestock management and environmental improvements in farm production in our part of the World. Please plan to attend next year’s NIGC, scheduled for Friday, January 31 and Saturday, February 1, once again to be held at the MEC in Shipshewana. Hope to see you there!
